Bird Bones

~

To clamp teeth

Against tongue

Is (undue) deference

For ones with

Gaping

Rancid

Black holes

In their faces.

~

Pitiable

Empty caverns

Speak volumes

Of what’s in their

Cavities. Chests

Of no great fortune.

There is no gold in

That marrow.

~

Only bowls

Of dank air.

Dull voids,

Hollow

Crusted chutes

Like flimsy

Fragile

Bird bones.
